Impact

Our ultimate goal is that every Achiever will graduate from high school and continue on to succeed in college. Friends of the Children-Boston collects data from many different sources to track progress towards this goal and assess the program's effectiveness. In the 2010-2011 school year:

• 99% of Achievers progressed on time to the next grade
• 91% did average or better (A's, B's, C's) in English and Language Arts
• 87% had a fair, good or excellent classroom behavior rating
• 83% did average or better (A's, B's, C's) in Mathematics
• 85% attended school regularly (90-100% of the time)
• Friends-Boston served 106 Achievers and reached 377 siblings and caregivers
